Qt includes a version of the ANGLE project which is included from the Windows Qt installers. Opengl 4.3 capable gpu driver#The default driver from Windows is OpenGL 1.1. ThisĮxample needs OpenGL 4.3 to work"This is taken directly from the requirements page you just directed me to.Graphics Driversįor Qt Quick 2 to work, a graphics driver that provides OpenGL 2.1 or higher is required. "This seems to be crashing inside your GPU driver on buffer swap. This is a verbatim quote from Qt Support: MSVC17 builds crash as per attached video and backtrace 515DirectX*OpenGL*OpenCL*Vulkan*Intel® Quick Sync VideoIntel® Wireless Display124.52.01.0.50YesYesĪpplications compiled under MinGW 5.3.0 compiler seem ok. Opengl 4.3 capable gpu drivers#I finally located where you stake version claims for HD Graphics 530 on the page at: Supported APIs and Features for Intel® Graphics Drivers I am on the latest drivers, my CPU is: i5 6400 Intel® Core™ i5-6400 Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.30 GHz) Product Specifications If it isn't already fixed in newer driver version. We cannot do much about this, I suggest contacting Intel support about this Unfortunately Intel drivers are generally quite unstable. You could check if you are running the latest drivers, and try to upgrade It probably shouldn't crash there even if it does not. ThisĮxample needs OpenGL 4.3 to work, does your driver support this? Although This seems to be crashing inside your GPU driver on buffer swap. I reported this to Qt Support with a backtrace, who responded as such: R0.I have a vanilla Qt5.10.0 / QtQuick 2.10 empty project that cannot start using MSVC17. #var float4 gl_FragCoord : $vin.WPOS : WPOS : -1 : 1 #var float4 Color : $vout.COL0 : COL0 : -1 : 1 Internal error: assembly compile error for fragment shader at offset 611: Layout(location = FRAG_COLOR, index = 0) out vec4 Color Ĭolor = imageLoad(Diffuse, ivec2(gl_FragCoord.xy)) Layout(binding = 0, rgba8) uniform image2D Diffuse //it works!! layout(binding = 0, rgba8) coherent uniform image2D Diffuse //dont work #extension GL_ARB_shader_image_size : require Opengl 4.3 capable gpu Patch#To this: layout(binding = 0, rgba8) uniform image2D Diffuse //it works!!įull details (saying no where it fails) and patch applied: #version 420 core In shader which I fix removing coherent in image definition layout(binding = 0, rgba8) coherent uniform image2D Diffuse //dont work This is related to new function ivec2 Size = imageSize(Diffuse) Line 22, column 5: error: supported only on load, store, and atomic instructions I’m concentrating on two I’m more interested first in 430-image_store sample I get I think and error in assembly Opengl 4.3 capable gpu install#run install again, and then hopefully have a viable development system.įirst is Nvidia monitoring OpenGL 4.3.0.0 sample pack by g-truc and aware of three samples not working… Once I’ve found a more reliable system backup program to use, I’ll try the NVIDIA. Hopefully I’ll have better luck working from mainstream Lubuntu 12.04. They don’t actually have the beta driver, and all their extra package junk is pretty much what destabilized my system. Tried to use Duplicity to restore it and it totally failed, although I didn’t lose any personal data. Opengl 4.3 capable gpu update#Unfortunately it also sent me up a driver installation and package update learning curve that destabilized my system. When I installed the exact driver version 304.15.00.02, I did get the 18 new extensions for my 3.x class HW. I think if you installed a driver with version 304.32 you probably didn’t use the OpenGL 4.3 beta driver, which is version 304.15.00.02 for Linux. The drivers and extension documentation can be downloaded from OpenGL Driver Support
